The fund has been set up to support the future skills needed by local engineering and manufacturing businesses to help create the next generation of engineers that are central to the future economic success of the region.

Apprenticeships at the AMTC
At MTC Training, we have developed our own industry-wide recognised apprenticeship programme to support the best new engineering talent.
The Lloyds Bank Advanced Manufacturing Apprenticeship Programme is a course that provides unique, flexible career paths into manufacturing engineering.
All training and administration for the qualification is managed and delivered by MTC Training.
What is the cost to an employer?
MTC Training can support your business through the Apprenticeship Levy.
- 0.5% of your pay bill will go towards the apprentice levy if your annual pay bill is £3 million+
- Over the duration of the apprenticeship our Product design & Development Standard is funded at £26,000 of levy funding
- £1000 government incentive is available for employing a 16 to 18-year-old
